offlineMemberShappi Khorsandi (Iranian female comedian who's been on HIGNFY, Live at the Apollo etc)does the "Mullah Lite" joke every time I see her on telly. Not that it's a bad joke. She uses it to indicate "moderate" Islam leaders.

offlineMemberI hope it didn't come across as reproach...one thing that holds me back here (I've only submitted two things so far) is that if I have a potential idea, I immediately think I can't have been the first to have it, or I must have heard it somewhere and filed it in my subconscious whence it is resurfacing....or it's just crap.

offlineMemberSorry Pabst, I wasn't referring specifically to your comment. Just meant that revisiting old gags (intentionally or otherwise) is often considered as a naughty thing on these pages.
I, me, personally, I think that we should have a room to recycle some old jokes or unsuccessful subs in (yes, most of mine), maybe chew them around and spit out something with a new angle. Plus we'd get to share, discuss and laugh again at some of the greats.
A sort of joke bank. Like Barclays.
Or perhaps that's what the chat room's for. Pah, t'was just an idea.

offlineMemberwhoops sorry for sparking this off. I wasn't aware of the Shappi Khorsandi gag (as I hate her comedy with a passion and will switch off whenever she is on telly) and this is the one time I didnt search the archivey bits. I came up with this joke while watching a muslim comic going down horribly in a club and I was making up funnier punchlines to his gags.
