A stream of passive aggressive messages has been received from an alien life form several million light years away.
NOW scientists are worried that a pan galactic misunderstanding could see earth wiped out by an intelligent but highly sensitive species.
Their first message, picked up yesterday morning, asks simply. "Tea?"
But a rapid series of follow up messages show that the aliens have been mortally offended by our failure to respond.
"Er hello?" says message 2. Message 3, which scientists have struggled to interpret, translates as something along the lines of "Some planets have got no bloody manners. have they?"
It's thought that the highly evolved superior life form took Earth's slow response as a deliberate snub. But...
