Mo Suleiman, who was born and bred in Southall, London, felt unsure this afternoon whether he really did represent The East. The suggestion was made during the introduction by the MC at an EU-sponsored Festival of Multiculturalism at which his funk fusion band was playing.
"I have been there once," Mr Suleiman said after the gig. "To visit my grandmother before she died. But that's it really. Also, I'm not sure how the Chinese feel about it."
