Today my train was late arriving because of "Excess passenger demand".
Apparently it was our fault that the train was late. Clearly the operating company's policy of eye-watering price rises in successive years still hasn't deterred us pesky passengers from spoiling their lovely railway by wanting to actually travel on it.
Maybe next they could think about providing more capacity instead of packing people in just like you're no longer allowed to do to cattle. And no I'm not talking about an HS2-style 'lets-add-another-first-class-carriage-that-should-do-it' capacity increase. I mean more and longer trains. Grrr!
Anyone got any train delay/cancellation excuses to share? Other than the ubiquitous "Signal failure (i.e. the driver's alarm clock signal failed)", obviously.
