French Referee Stephan Lannoy is said to be in a state of shock and confusion after a FIFA World Cup official told him that sometimes football players will bend the truth in order to gain an advantage in a match. A close friend has revealed that the news "Has left him traumatised and dissallusioned with the world".
After the World cupr group match last night Lannoy was questioned about the way he handled the game.
"I asked Louis Fabiano if he had handled the ball before he scored and he told me that he had not and it was in fact his chest. I assumed it must have been the angle I saw it from. I feel cheated now that I have seen the video replay"
"Later in the game there was an off the ball incident between Kaka and Keita, I didnt see it but the way Keita was rolling round on the floor holding his face I knew something was wrong. Then the Ivory Coast players told me that Kaka has assualted him with a length of steel pipe hidden in his sock and that was all the evidence I needed to send Kaka off"
"This match has left a bitter taste in my mouth now and I don't think I can trust humanity at all".
