Did anyone else hear a news piece the other day about a 7 year old boy dying a "flood-related death" somewhere near London, the police cordoning off the area, his parents taken to hospital and 24 local residents and 15 police being checked in hospital too? Severe vomiting, diarrhoea and fever were briefly mentioned at the end of the report.
Did anyone else think; Cholera?
My first thought was that it's a complete coincidence.
"Flood related death" = drowning.
"Severe vomiting, diarrhoea and fever" = normal result of a Saturday night out in London.
I just found it strange that they referred to it as flood-related when it wasn't drowning but didn't want to say possible Typhoid or Cholera epidemic in London. So unlike journalists!
Am I right in thinking that it may have been a carbon monoxide poisoning from using a petrol-engine powered pump in the basement?
Well yes... But CHOLERA!!! Aaaagh! run for the hills...hang on I'm already on the top of a hill.
Nah. It's bird flu, bourne by cannibal rats. I know that for a fact 'cos it was like, in all the newspapers?
