No 10 has today announced dramatic measures to help keep the country warm without impacting fuel bills. In a counter offensive against the energy suppliers and in response to recent price increases the Coalition has announced a landmark policy to freeze the price of Sweaters, Jumpers and Cardigans. A No 10 energy spokesperson said “we need to reform the market in warm clothing and the 20 month price freeze will allow us to introduce new measures to reform the market, mainly through the removal of all regulation”.
However, UKIP were quick to point out that the measures do not impact the costs of Fleeces due to EU rules preventing the UK government acting on such products.
Labour were quick to accuse the Coalition of copying their own proposals. A Labout spokesman said “Again we see the Conservatives acting too late and copying Labour’s plans to introduce price freezes in 2015”.
