Hmmm... sounds like this could be a longer piece. The language of cancer is always confrontational: we're going to 'beat it, it's a 'battle', etc...

Always amazes me when chain-smoking drug-taking ageing rock star confidently declares he will beat cancer. The press never ask the cancer cells what they think their chances are.
Oh, and don't worry about forgetting to add 5 stars ... I've stuck them on for you to save you the trouble.
"Cancer cells 'put up brave fight' against chemotherapy"
No doubt, in due course, some bunch of Guardian readers or Friends of Green Earthpiece will launch a campaign to defend the cancer cells' 'human rights' or at least their 'right to life'. You read it here first.
And to add to the confrontational/battle/war theme... perhaps a story of an agent, not necessarily a double agent at this stage, but one who must sneak behind enemy lines etc etc... essentially leading to;
Cancer cell sounds like it was written by Tom Clancy.
