Labour's top boy fashionista, Ed Miliband, stunned a starless studded audience yesterday, as he walked out onto the catwalk at the Hilton Metropole, Brighton, dressed in a single breasted, one buttoned, Moss Bros classic. The expectant crowd appeared to be visibly moved as they gave a thoroughly warm hand on his entrance.
And the Labour lad didn't disappoint either, emerging in what some say was true 'Stars in their eyes' fashion, the raised hand, cocked hip and slightly bent left leg, clearly a tribute to the show's former host, he was hoping to deliver a performance akin to that of a prospective PM.
However, all the pre-show talk about how far the one man style icon would swing, was soon dismissed, as he displayed a modest policy that was clearly dressed to the left.
According to his PR team, Ed's off-the-peg number was chosen for its casual fit, its timeless elegance and the more than affordable hire charge.
A spokesman for Moss Bros, Brighton, said they're expecting the suit back today.
