In the wake of the dismissal of Paulo Di Canio, Sunderland football club sent an SOS to a prominent former director of the ailing club.
David Miliband, CEO of International Rescue since the retirement of Jeff Tracy and former MP for South Shields said, “This crisis at Sunderland was predictable given Mr Di Canio’s ultra-right wing tendencies, it left the team unbalanced and open to attacks down the left flank. It’s not surprising they haven’t won all season.”
Miliband reassured Sunderland fans by immediately sending Scott and Virgil in Thunderbirds One and Two to take immediate control of the situation. He also scotched rumours he would seek help from his brother, ‘Red Ed’ Miliband, temporary leader of the Labour Party.
“Ed couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery and with his looney-left leanings the team, like the Labour Party, would be completely rudderless.”
