The Con-Lib coalition was left stunned and floundering today as Labour announced supermarket plastic shopping bags would only cost between 2p to 4p were it voted in at the next election.
The sensational move was in response to the coalition’s announcement that a new 5p charge for plastic carrier bags will be introduced in supermarkets across England.
“I really dyou think this is this is the right thing for Britain” said Ed Miliband “pricing flexibility for supermarkets and choice for the hard-pressed working and unemployed people of Britain.”
The coalition was further rocked as Tory-funding supermarket barons announced they backed the Labour move and will be funding Labour from now on.
Meanwhile, through the poison smog, China expressed ‘deep concern’ about the effect of plastic shopping bags on wildlife and the environment in the UK.
