Syria have complained to the UN about Iraq's policy on returning unwanted goods.
It seems some time ago they acquired a variety of weapons from their good neighbour Iraq during an 'everything must go' sale, although there has been a reluctance to reveal precisely when the transaction took place.
Assad now claims Iraq are refusing to offer any sort of refund, and indeed have denied any transaction ever took place.
"There needs to be some support from the UN on this matter" moaned Assad "Can you imagine John Lewis doing this? They would off a full refund, or at least offer a swap, and give us something less, er, frowned upon"
"It's not as if we are trying to return goods that have been used..."
