Former school chums David Cameron and Nick Clegg have admitted the 2010 General Election result was a fake which they shot on home video in David's bedroom.
The clip shows Nick 'working' - gyrating into a series of awkward positions to 'impress his boyfriend, David'. In the end he collapses under the strain, breaking his promises, with his 'pants on fire'.
The pair claim they only posted the clip on YouTube "for a laugh". David says, "We did absolutely nothing to promote the idea that this was real, we just put it up there and we got over nine million hits a week... mostly from disgruntled voters".
Nick added, "I am a professional 'fall guy' so there was no danger this was ever going to work. However, my friends and family did recognise me, so I got a few messages on Facebook... mostly from Ming Campbell and Paddy Ashdown".
They say they got the idea after they went for a walk together in Richmond Park with Nick dressed as a dog. David repeatedly called Nick a 'Bender' when he spooked some deer. The whole incident was caught on video by a passer-by and quickly went viral.
