Michael Le Vell's career lies in tatters today, after he was convicted of working as a TV celebrity for decades without serving his apprenticeship. A court found him guilty on several counts of "acting without being a child abuser", a charge which the actor admitted.
"He was only a minor celebrity", said an ITV spokesman, "but nevertheless he's been on our screens 3 times a week for decades. Generations of young viewers have grown up with his character, Kevin Webster. It's sickening to think that he hasn't abused any of them.
