Disappointed by a luke warm reception to the new Formula E championship launching in 2014, FIA bosses have already said they will be implementing a rule change to make refuelling stops manadatory.
Formula-E is the new electric-car championship being introduced next year as an alternative to Formula 1 with the intention of providing entertainment and to spur on electric-vehicle technologies.
"Everyone remembers how exciting fuel stops were in Formula 1 with the ever present risks of a spill and fire like the one that engulfed Jos Verstappen. We expect that the introduction of refuelling stops into Formula E will be even more exciting keeping the spectators on tenterhooks for up to 10 HOURS at each stop rather than the ten SECONDS in Formula 1".
The initial Formula-E season will take place over 5 years to allow for all 20 races to be fitted into the calendar.
