The Chairman of the Football Association Greg Dyke has spoken out against foreign ownership, foreign managers and foreign players at some of the Clubs under the FA’s jurisdiction, but not others. As a Brentford fan, he is reportedly quite happy with the German Uwe Rosler as Manager, with Alan Kernaghan from the Republic of Ireland as his Assistant.
And like many ten year olds, Mr Dyke also supports Manchester United, where the American owners have recently appointed the Scot David Moyes as Manager, presiding over great players such as Dutchman Robin Van Persie and the Welshman Ryan Giggs.
“OK, I lied about wanting to get rid of all the foreigners,” he said. “As a Brentford and Man United fan, I offer Uwe and David my full backing but I also want the national team to do better. However, I’m not the first person at the FA to lie, back, and think of England.”
