Fraud squad officers raided No. 10 Downing Street at dawn this morning and arrested the PM David Cameron amid claims he had received substantial sums of money from Indian book makers to throw the vote over Syrian action.
Police officer Barry Barnet told reporters, “This is the first time in over 150 years a serving PM has been defeated by parliament over going to war, even Mr Blair got that dossier through parliament and we all know it was done by that bloke who did the Hitler Diaries and discenting MP Crispin Blunt ? surely that has to be a made up name”
Reaction at Westminster has been united in condemnation, Labour MP Diane Abbott was said to be furious as she a five pound accumulator on it, “I had Arsenal, Swansea to win their matches and the strafing of Damascus, with Bet 360, that Eaton tosser has cost me two hundred quid” snapped an angry Abbott. David Miliband was said to be the toilet and unavailable for comment.
Police are also searching for Eric Pickles who in a former career was rumoured to be a bookies runner in Yorkshire and the go between the PM and the bookmakers, however they were at pains to stress they are not investigating Deputy PM Nick Clegg as he is not thought to be of any importance.
