Gorgeous Geordie lass Cheryl Cole has today dismissed claims that her newly styled two-tone lady-garden was fashioned in direct response to the government's recent badger cull plan. The former XFactor judge has insisted, however, that the reason behind her latest 'furry fashion' is "not one of a political nature" but rather that of an 'of-the-moment', personal decision to raise awareness of herself in the public eye.
After leaving XFactor in 2011, Cheryl, 30, by her own admission has hardly been on the paparazzi's hotlist and according to her PR team, some months back decided that she was going to forego the lady-shave and grow a bush as 'thick as two short thieves' in a bid to catapult herself back into the media spotlight.
"It was a conscious decision" she said, "I was getting tired of not being the one that people were talking about, so had to think of something that would put me back to where I belong. What with all the hair related headlines at the time, Rooney and Prince Harry and that, I thought this would be an ideal way to do it, and it seems to have worked."
Cheryl explained that the addition of the white stripes to create the badger-like appearance however, was a last minute decision, admitting that the unveiling of the 'new fur' needed to be 'topical' to maximise the attention and that the badger cull seemed to be the perfect opportunity.
Twatter was awash with comments yesterday after the singer's hairstylist Nico Furtado posted the picture on Instagram showing Cheryl's huge black and white forest design not only covering the majority of her upper pubis but also continuing down over the tops of her inner thighs, harking back to a style that was last seen in the early seventies.
Some people however, think the dense, bushy art is disgusting, with one person twatting," Cheryl Cole's bush is minging and ruins her body" while another said, "You're really spoiling that badger, Cheryl"
But the Geordie temptress doesn't care what they think, "awww! People are entitled to their own opinion. Personally I've never really concerned myself with anyone but myself."
XFactor supremo and friend Simon Cowell, famed for his shaven chest, said he hasn't yet seen the stripey snatch so has not been able to pass judgement, but said he hopes he can give her one as soon as she's available.
