Do you mean palindrome? Because if you do it isn't that either.
Ooh- a grammar Nazi! You'll be telling me it should be "denies" next - Oh shite, it should. I fall on my sword. Fer-fer-fetch Granville and wipe it off. Actually what should it be?
A simple pun - but no less funny for that.
It would be brilliant if it were also a palindrome (which would of course be an additional pun) but hey, you can't have everything.
However you can have a laugh which is the important thing. Especially where Mrs Palin is concerned.
Actually, thinking about it, you could assert that it was a synonym.
(Ya, Ich bin ein Grammar Nazi but I voss only obeyink orders. Und ya, it should haff been "denies". At least I am not ein Grammar Denier. Guten abend. Heil Godvin!)
Actually isn't an acronyn "an abbreviation formed from the initial components in a phrase or a word"? So could not in fact "Sarin" be classed as an acronym for Sarah Palin? And wasn't I right all along but was just too darn shy and interesting to admit it and now I have to try to extricate that bloody sword.
How is it an acronym?
An acronym is something like
POSH = "Port Out, Starboard Home"
Quango (QANGO) - "Quasi-Autonomous Non-Governmental Organisation"
GOSH = "Good Sense Of Humour"
NONCE = "Not On Normal Courtyard Exercise"
LOTUS = Loads Of Troule, Usually Serious"
FIAT = "Fix It Again, Toni"
Who’s sarin now? What a song that was.
Some Union names were acronyms, back in the day.
NALGO - not a lot goes on.
NUPE - no use at practically everything.
NUM - nobbled under Maggie.
