In the latest in a series of negative briefings, leader of the opposition Ed Miliband has been branded "crap in bed" and "not up to the job" by an anonymous critic with close links to the Labour leader.
The source who wished to be referred to only as Justine T said "Ed needs to show that he has the motivation to do the job. He has to ditch the cliches like 'one family' and start speaking with more passion. Oh and frankly, referring to foreplay as 'pre-distribution' is just a massive turn off."
Miliband's failure to gain traction has led to growing scrutiny of his performance in recent months. He has come under pressure to ditch what is perceived as an inexperienced circle of advisers in favour of steadier hands.
A Labour party spokesperson said "Ed has been carrying out a root and branch review of the whole area in question. He's been formulating some great ideas that he hopes will resonate, many of which he plans to unveil at party conference."
