I haven't really done that much, but I've tidied the kitchen, done a bit of gardening, taken some rubbish to the dump and picked up the dry cleaning, so I might as well spend the afternoon in the pub with the paper.
Wife 'n' kids are away, so nothing keeping me here.
Anyone else coming?

Well when I finish work in the shop I'm going to the pub too - hang on a minute, I live in the pub.

Will you still be there about 7.30 Golgo?
I've just got a few things to do before then, but I'll definitely be there.
Posted 7 years ago # -
Well I've only bought the i on Saturday, so not sure how long that'll last, but if you're definitely coming down, I'll pace myself.

If anyone's looking for me down the pub, I've popped back home for a bit to watch the athletics. Pub was only showing Sky. Might go back later if anyone else is heading out.

Did you leave the paper at the bar so we can give the crossword a go in your absence?
Posted 7 years ago # -
I just left it on the table I was sat at...
...be my guest.

I'll be along later. Hope it's not quiz night or a band - won't be able to hear myself think.

Heeeey! Titus! The Titan! Tights in white satin! Tight of Passage! Isle of Tight!
See you down there.
Just so we don't accidentally end up going to different pubs, which one are you going to be at?
Posted 7 years ago # -
Same one as you, obviously.
I'm Titus. You don't think I'm going to buy my own beer, do you?

I've decided not to go, there's a documentary re-inforcing my views on global climate change on iplayer I haven't seen, so I have a crate of Fuller's Golden Pride and a packet of Tyrrell's crisps. I don't doubt I'll be online later though.

Mighty Tighty! Midsummer Tights Dream! Dogger, Fisher, German Tight! Tight for sore eyes! Widow's Tite! Heap of steaming tite!
Obvs we're going to the same pub! Just want to make sure I don't accidentally go to the wrong one, so if you could let me know where you are going to be, I won't have to worry!

Has anyone seen that programme "I Love My Country"?
Suddenly not so much...

Right then, back to the pub.
See you there!

Lens Cap: if you're doing the crossword in Golgo's paper, please read out the clues for some of the easy ones for all the rest of us to have a go at.

I completed the Times sudoku today in 30 mins which was classified as "Fiendish". But that was at a coffee shop since I find pubs far too boring.
Why do people want to stand around holding pints in their hands and talking shite? There's no knowledge to be gained...

For the record, my full name is Titus Adduxas, which accords with my spending habits.

‘Urry up, ‘Arry, come on!

Has anybody seen my keys?
Posted 7 years ago # -

Happier times...? Or just more polite...
I can still see that certain people irritated me back then...maybe you can figure it out too...but seemed to be more diluted...Posted 6 years ago # -
Good heavens, it's almost as if there is friendly, witty banter occurring!. With undertones of good-natured joshing, and strong notes of companionship.
