The Daily Mail today demanded the immediate closure of what it described as 'this vile website.'
'It is disgraceful that this site can still be viewed,' it fumed. 'Its contents are nothing short of revolting. For instance, while saying that web sites showing titillating images of children should be closed down, it then shows various pictures of celebrities' children in skimpy clothes.
'And it illustrates articles about sexism with pictures of women wearing next to nothing.
'Furthermore, while complaining about other papers printing unauthorised photos of the royal family taken by paparazzi, exactly the same sort of photos appear in the Daily Mail.
'And while it fulminates against fat-cat bankers, the company that owns the Daily Mail continues to make enough money to buy several banks. As does the Daily Mail's editor.
'The hypocrisy is appalling. We know of several people who have taken large overdoses of aspirins and drink in an effort to wipe away the memories of viewing this site. Others have had to receive trauma counselling.
'The Daily Mail demands that this site be closed down now!
