After carnivores round the world raised concerns about the morality of eating naturally grown cabbages, scientists have created the first artificial cabbage from bovine stem cells.
The new development, dubbed "cowwage", could finally provide an ethical alternative to the cruel practise of purpose breeding cabbages under factory farm conditions. While the new dish is said to have the same texture as cabbage, it was said to lack to the same filling qualities of eating a whole cow.
Some die-hard carnivores are still doubting the morality of this vegetable-substitute, pointing out that people should simply eat less cabbage altogether. The Scottish Carnivore Society spokesman, Garden Hamsey, said, "Our members think we are heading for a slippery slope. What's next, meat cucumbers - think of the jokes that'll be made", while another member of the society simply said "I aint eatin' that, it's got green in it".
