Animal rights activist Simon Milford was killed last night after attempting to release a cat owned by Austrian physicist Erwin Schrödinger from its cat box.
Having heard that the cat box differed from the norm due to it containing radioactive material and a bottle of cyanide gas, the activist, Simon Milford decided it was time to take action.
After breaking into Professor Schrödinger's laboratory late last night, Mr Milford opened the cat box hoping to release what by now should be one seriously pissed-off moggy.
The reality however was somewhat different. As Mr Milford opened the box, the cat grinned at Mr Milford, then nodded knowingly towards the contents of the box before making good its escape.
Mr Milford then looked in the direction indicated by the cat just in time to see a small mechanical hammer smashing open the bottle of cyanide.
The cat's whereabouts are currently unknown.
