Doctor Who fans have given their unanimous support to actress Karen Gillan as she defended the sexiness of her character Amy Pond.
Some viewers have gone so far as to request that the 22-year-old Scot 'make it sexier, please', begging the BBC to produce an extra episode of the sci-fi show which just features Pond in her 'kissogram' police uniform dancing around the framework inside the Doctor's spacecraft.
'We realise this episode wouldn't appeal to every Doctor Who viewer, and the show wouldn't necessarily fit very well into the story arc of the current series,' said Dave Mason, head of the Doctor Who Appreciation Society, 'but I think you'll find that most of us wouldn't give a shit about that. Think back to when we had Bonnie fucking Langford in a jumpsuit. Now we could have Amy Pond, pole dancing in the TARDIS? I bet the viewing figures would be through the fucking roof!'
Lead writer Steven Moffat says he is 'seriously considering' the idea; a tacit admission that he too fancies Gillan as much as everyone else does. 'As long as Karen is up for it, then I'm happy to show her prancing seductively around in any number of outfits and various states of undress,' he said during filming of the season finale. 'We might have to show it in a later timeslot, which would certainly annoy some of our teenage audience, or even hold it back for private invitation-only viewings, but as long as I get to keep all the original footage then I'm happy to ignore them -- hell, the more I think about it I reckon I'd even do it for free.'
