FIFA ejected 36 Shaolin monk football fans from a World Cup match for wearing their distinctive orange robe.
They claimed the robes were made by a Bavarian beer company and, despite the outfits containing no branding, the organisers said it was against their rules on "ambush marketing".
A spokesman for the monks said "It's a nice robe. Very fashionable. In my opinion, people should have the right to wear whatever they want. We offered to take them off but they just threatened to arrest us for streaking! This is sexist and religious bias, there was a group of Blue Nuns sat right next to us and they were allowed to stay".
He added, “It would be different if we had all been wearing the Dutch Caps, thoughtfully provided for us by the contraceptive company, to stop our bald heads from getting burned!”.
