After seeing 'Queen to allow swans to eat vegans" thread in another place, and especially the rather scary picture of Kevin, I thought about the old chestnut that swans can break your arm.
Now when I was a kid I remember being warned away from swans by my parents (and grandparents for that matter) since they can "break your arm". The fact is though that in over fifty years I've never met a single person who's arm has been broken by one of Kevin's friends or relations. Not only that but I've never even met anyone who even knows someone who's arm has been broken by a swan. So, is it all some old wives' tale, or do you know better?
Also, how would a swan go about the arm-breaking thing? Does one advance on you in a threatening manner whilst it's mate kneels down behind you (ostensibly to tie its laces) causing you to trip? Or some other method?
