Three more regions of Britain have been awarded Silicon status, with Bethnal Green, Peckham and Crawley earning the right to the hi tec prefix after each one became home to more than one IT start up.
Bethnal Green in East LOndon is to become Silicon Manor. Peckham, in south east London, is to be celebrated with the name Silicon Sink Estate while Crawley in Sussex is to become Silicon New Town.
New Addington, on the edges of Croydon, is rumoured to be the next silicon district, as soon as a name can be agreed on. Locals have asked for Silicon Shithole, but that working title has yet to be confirmed by the silicon regional naming committee.
Gun capital Nottingham has applied to be called Silicon Bang, but Manchester, with its large prison popular, has laid claim to that name.
Meanwhile Newcastle could become the first town to apply for a silicon suffix, if it's plan to become Wor Silicon is approved.
Silicon GoGoGoch in Wales, meanwhile, has been burned down by angry Welsh Nationalists.
