"This is all about passenger safety and comfort," Ryanair boss Michael O' Leary told a press conference. "Whatever else you may say about our airline we are dead set on making sure we run efficiently, and obey the rules to the letter. For example, during the safety demonstration most airlines fail to demonstrate the 'brace' position. Our trained G4S crew will actually show other travellers how this is properly done using a selected passenger. We will also take a vigourous approach to making sure that passengers are safely strapped in to their seats. That doesn't mean we won't take a sympathetic approach to passengers who are nervous about flying."
G4S aims to boast increased crew/passenger ratios, and is offering what it calls "unmissable deals" on one way flights. "These new flights to Africa will be the subject of intense competition," O'Leary continued. "G4S and Ryanair both have the killer instinct to come out on top."
