SCRANTON, PA — After a startling discovery, thousands flocked to Scranton, Pennsylvania to witness a vending machine that actually accepted American dollar bills and completely delivered the correct snack to the customer.
The startling machine was discovered by Molly Sun, 28, who was standing outside a Circle K when she was tempted to grab a small package of doughnuts.
“Of course, I didn’t actually think it would work,” Sun told us. “I just loved watching the vending machine spit out my wrinkled dollar bill.”
When the machine accepted the bill and dropped the bag of chips, Sun called her husband to relate the astonishing news.
“He didn’t believe me at first,” Sun said.
Sun then shared the discovery on social networking sites and to Scranton’s local newspaper, which investigated the story’s credibility. The Circle K finally released a clip from their surveillance monitor which recorded Molly Sun’s vending machine success.
The vending machine is now making a huge profit margin from the awestruck crowds of tourists.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, the vending machine was restocked incorrectly and has lost its functionality.
