Can't say I like the "Bully the Isle of Wight" stuff much -- just not my cup of humour -- but this one is better than most. It deserves a longer treatment with lots of detail, IMHO. You've got me wondering just what the islanders would mistake for the death machines, for example. Of course, it might have been done before...

I imagine horseless carriages, with two powerful beam projectors at the front, and a metallic nozzle at the rear emitting poisonous gas, would somewhat do the trick.
Perhaps all the spectators would flee in horror... from the Magic Lantern show.
