Pole Jerzy Janowicz may have the fastest serve at Wimbledon but Britain’s own Alan Moore has broken the record for the world’s fastest sneeze. Alan, a trainee actuary at Friends Life, frequently shocks his colleagues with his violent sneezing fits but on Wednesday, after opening a particularly peppery pot noodle, he made the windows rattle. ‘We knew at once that something special had just happened’ said manager Darren Thomas, ‘so we called in the Guinness Book of records to investigate. By measuring the distance from Alan’s desk to the wall, and the height of the snot, they were able to calculate that Alan’s sneeze speed was a new world record of 141 mph' – one mph faster than Jerzy’s best serve!
