The Council Leader of The Isle of Wight Mr. Brian Rampant has stated emphatically that there are not any Atomic weapons stored on The IOW. He has written a letter to Yukiya Amano of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to explain the islands’ position and a commitment to prove it. Weapons inspectors have been invited to search anywhere and for as long as it takes.
Brochures have been sent that illustrate the many hotels and guest houses that can be used for the inspection teams accommodation. There are also my places of interest to visit with an excellent range of restaurants to wine and dine. Families are well catered for so weapons inspectors need not let a lengthy stay mean it is time away from loved ones. Mr Rampant also asked to be quoted “ We have no links with any terrorist organizations and would ask all International bodies concerned to come to The Isle of Wight with its’ miles of beautiful beaches and see the lack of terrorist links for themselves.”
