A Kent couple being held by Somali pirates have been temporarily reunited, according to a doctor who treated them.
The candle website Chandlers Reunited raised awareness and money from candle-lit vigils around the UK and The Isle of Wight. They managed to get an out of hours GP visit at the weekend, even though the couple were not at home.
Spokeswoman Cinnamon Scented said" We pointed out that the couple are not on holiday either, so the GP agreed to come out.
Doctor Sharif Ahmed who treated them made the visit from Tonbridge Wells, via Cairo and Mogadishu.
Earlier Prime Minister Gordon Brown called for the couple's release when he spoke to NHS direct directly.

They are still being held, but it is no longer news. Sign of the times when a topical news story has an out of date Prime Minister.
