Welsh rocktards the Stereophonics celebrated their new album this week at a special launch event.
Speaking at the event lead singer Kelly Jones revealed some song writing secrets “We spend all day cutting bits out the Herald and then take turns pulling out headlines from a hat…yeah I know it’s amazing isn’t it!”
It hasn’t always worked songs rejected for the new album included “Badger cull House fire kills Cardiff City 1”, “Tragic baby death revives local economy”, “Sacked racist Wasps! Charity fun run” but after literally minutes the album was finished.
“Getting the music done was the hard part…” continues Kelly, it seems getting the right mix of bland non-offensive coffee table wankery can be tough but he says, “…we managed it.”
Kelly said he was looking forward to hearing his new songs played back to him while on hold renewing his car insurance “I like to think it keeps all those middle management call centre employees in stone washed jeans with their shirts tucked in from committing suicide for another day or so.”
