Scientists have reported a national outbreak of middle-aged spectacle-wearing men trying to give the impression to attractive younger women that they are wearing super-cool Google Glass.
'There have been a number of cases recently where middle-aged men wearing glasses have approached younger women in the street and said "Take photo!"', said Professor Duncan Moffatt of Loughborough University. 'The men have all explained they are wearing Google Glass, and want to take a picture of these women. However, when the police have been called, they have all been found to be wearing normal glasses. Apparently they are trying to appear "cool". Instead, they are just creepy.'
A spokesman for the police said: 'We give all these saddos a warning, and tell them not to do it again. We can't lock them up because the cells are full of old men arrested under Operation Yewtree.'
