Retired Barnsley shopkeeper, Bert Strudwick, today accused the Government of 'Fixing' the price of beer.
Hours after it was claimed that BP & Shell have been manipulating petrol prices for a decade, 78 year old Strudwick revealed that governments have also been conning bloodeh Yorkshire public since end of damned war.
“'Appen as not them's worse than bloodeh bankers,” Strudwick told journalists at a hastily called press conference in the saloon bar of the Blacksmith's Arms. “By eck thar's nowt so queer as folk an that there Chancellor of Exchequer's bin 'aving thee at local pump since world began,” he opined. “Same goes for pipe baccy and fags. An't test crickit. It's what our Boycott calls a bloomin' cartel of quickies on't sticky dog.”
