NASA astronuaut, Commander Chris Hadfield, has returned from his 6 month mission to the International Space Station only to make his most shocking discovery back home on planet earth. The Canadian astronaut was unexpectedly handed his P45 as he clambered out of the recovery capsule, which landed this morning in Kazakstan.
Esther Weintaukin, spokeswomen for NASA's ISS programme, commented "It was drawn to our attention that Commander Hadfield had been extensively engaging in the use of social media websites during office hours. Space is an expensive business and it's not an acceptable use of taypayers money for staff to spend time posting pictures on twitter or uploading music videos onto youtube instead of doing science which, believe it or not, is actually what these guys are paid to do."
"I can hardly believe it," commented ex-Commander Hadfield, "I couldn't have been more shocked if Canada had become interesting while I was away in space."
