TV's Apprentice supremo, Lord Alan Sugar has been honoured by the Royal Society of Estate Agents with their prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.
Announcing that 99.9% of all those fired by Sugar go on to become top estate agents, Royal Society Chairman, 21 year old Darren Figgis, praised Sugar for pioneering those exacting professional standards that are essential to success in the fiercely competitive High Road property business.
“Buying and selling houses requires the numeracy skills of a Nobel prizewinning mathematician coupled with the project management skills of a deadly poisonous snake,” said Figgis, who boasts a full set of 5 GCSE's. Thanks to Lord Sugar's apprentices we now have a conveyor belt of incredibly talented superstars like me, who will take the art of Estate Agency up to the next level. And the stunning mezzanine level above that. And even further uphill to the mock Tudor staircase leading up to the amazing top floor studio with it's en-suite bookshelves and dedicated dimmer-switch. Then further upwards through the purpose-built MDF skylight and up the custom-built retractable ladder onto the sun-drenched roof garden where pet rabbits roam like wildlife in the Serengeti. Or indeed, as high as the sky.”
