Scientists at the University of York announed today that there may be a link between famous women having 'wardrobe malfunctions' and the proximity of cameras.
The head of the team, Dr Jon Lake, said: 'We have studied a number of these occurrences, where a famous woman's boobs fall out of her dress, or she accidentally flashes her knickers, and in each case it happens when there are cameras present. We have therefore concluded that there is something about the cameras which causes these unfortunate events. We are now experimenting on our female staff to see if their clothes fall off when we point cameras at them, so that we can pinpoint the cause. Regrettably, it means they have to wear their skimpiest outfits, and we have to spend hours photographing them, but then we all have to make these sacrifices in the name of science.
'We hope to publish our findings soon, so that we can pass them on to the celebrities concerned, because when they turn up at events wearing something the size of a small face flannel, the last thing they can expect is for large areas of their bodies to be made unexpectedly public. They must be so embarrassed.'
