Children's entertainment and television star 'Bouncing Billy Baldwin' (real name William Bathhurst) was a hugely popular TV personality for a very brief time in the early 1970s with his huge mop of curly hair and his catchphrase "There she goes!" However he has been completley forgotten since and died three years ago. In January 2012 it was announced that he had amassed a large fortune, amounting to several million pounds, during his brief period of fame.
In February 2012 police began to investigate a large number of allegations of abuse and 'inappropriate behaviour' which they had suddenly received from alleged victims who had been children when 'Bouncing Billy's' popularity was at its height. However the police have had to end their investigation because none of the alleged victims now wishes to pursue their complaints. "For some reason we cannot fathom" said a police spokesman "All the complaints were suddenly dropped at the beginning of April this year."
Late in March this year it was announced by the administrators of his estate that Billy Baldwin had made a series of disastrous property investments in the years after his brief but lucrative television career, in which he lost virtually all his money. The value of his estate is valued at just over £100.
