Sometimes you just have to admire others' ability to construct long, cumbersome sentences that say absolutely nothing at all. This is a genuine extract from a memo describing a management re-organisation:
The evolutionary move hereby defined is centered on the rationalisation of the existing corporate and operations central functions, focusing their achievement and accountability on more precise and wider areas, and on the progressive and systematic orientation to a consistent and integrated management of our geographic presences.
We are facing the competitive challenge of undertaking a path to build, step by step, a more responsive and proactive Company, using a simplified, robust, efficient operating model with streamlined, solid decision-making processes, capable of replicating and adapting to the different international contexts.
If I'd set out to satirise management-speak, I don't think I'd have come up with anything better. Meanwhile, if anyone can help me to focus my achievement and accountability on BOTH more precise AND wider areas, I'd appreciate it.
