having long been an admirer of satire, the chance to have a go myself was just too tempting. No serious professional ambitions, just the ego boost (as I think someone else put it) of seeing something silly that made me laugh being put on the tinternet for millions to view - and of getting stars from my peers. and very occasionally, wanting to make a point about sthg that seems wrong, in a comedic sort of way - I think it was the min for transport who'd killed a cyclist that finally pushed me over the line from biscuit reader to biscuit member.
also I enjoy reading (some of) the forum repartee. some of it is a bit sad/frustrating, and I'm certainly no fan of the Jim Davidson school of bullying humour that raises its lame head regularly, but I think I'm with the "calm down it's not that bad" party overall. plus I note that much of the most heated argument comes late at night on weekends. can it be that drink has been taken? But seriously folks, there's still some good stuff on here. If it was much better I'd
waste spend even more time reading it, which wouldn't be good for the rest of my life.
finally, apart from general fun and work avoidance, I'm trying for the NB four-way hat-trick - oo-er - I mean getting one of every type of sub used. So far I've had 1 FP, a few NIBs, lately 1 Left Alert - just the ticker to crack. which, as I am clearly someone who rambles on a bit, may be the hardest for me....
