Peppy, the polar bear best known for his role in the Fox's Glacier Mints adverts, has broken a decade-long silence to speak about his co-star.
We met in the freezer section of a national supermarket where Peppy now works as a temperature regulator. During a well-earned seal-break, Peppy spoke about former glories.
"Yes, it was undignified trying to balance on a small cuboid of clear mintiness, but I came at it from a professional angle. I had earned my equity card ice-skating in dark glasses holding a can of Cresta - I have suffered for my art - but that actor - if one could call him that - was insufferable."
Peppy went on to relate several incidents that culminated in the cancellation of the successful advertising series. His co-star consistently arrived late for filming; had failed to learn his lines and covered up mistakes by 'clowning about'.
"He tried to make me look like an idiot. He chummied up to the director, brown-nosing. But then the Best Boy went missing. And the runner. Of course, he tried to pin it on me, but it's clear what the fox been going on. All these years I've lived under the finger of suspicion. Well, now he's been nibbling babies, the world will see him for what he is. I hope he gets what's coming to him."
