After the news a German artist has created the first robot metal band, music mogul Simon Cowell has hit back claiming to have been inventing mechanical bands for years.
The robot band, Compressorhead, are described as being similar to a modern Rolling Stones concert - made up of mostly recycled material - and play hits from Led Zeplin to Motörhead.
The claim that these are the first fully robotic music artists have been disputed by Cowell, who says he has been churning them out for years. "Sinita is made purely of plastic and controlled by a joystick in my trousers" Cowell said. "And I made Jedward. They are run by artificial intelligence, or as we call him, Louis.
The German artist has responded saying he believes that his machine band have more personality than any of Cowell's creations put together, a claim refuted by the high waisted head of SyCo. "We've made our robots so human like, Harry Styles has even developed the strong urge to breed".
