Have you noticed that Labour party members keep making references to the fact that they will be "electing the next Prime Minister" in the run up to the leadership election.
Do they really think the electorate will forgive and forget that quickly?

If they said 'we are now choosing the next individual to take us to abject electoral defeat' they might score points for honesty, I suppose.
I think all of the country should conspire next time and see if we can get a 3-way tie...
Do they really think the electorate will forgive and forget that quickly?
Well they re-elected the Torys didn't they?
Which reminds me. If the coalition does a really, really good job, what do we do if we want them in next time? Could they have their own box to tick on the ballot paper?
"If the coalition does a really, really good job,...."
bahahahahawahahahahaaha
5 stars.
Wallster - HAHAHAHAHA! Thanks for that, matey :)))
What are they meant to say exactly? Considering the economic situation, it was a remarkably close thing. We'll be back.
Surely I can't have been the lone voice crying, " Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" at the news that the Tories were involved in government again, in any shape or form?
As my late Grandfather always said, "Better a bad Labour government than any Tory one."
They're meant to say they're electing a new leader, and not have the arrogance to assume they'll walk back into Number 10 next time round, Oxy old son.
Ah, but once the Blue and Yellahs have given us a few years of bad economic management, cash for questions, Milliganesque stranglewank sex scandals, general sleazy behaviour and had a crack at going back to back to basics, it'll be just like the early 90's all over again. Labour will be a shoe in.
So they're probably right.
Or left.
Attack of pedantry... Sorry.
I'm with Jeni. Any Labour government is better than a Tory one.
That's quite alright Scroaty. I think I may have got Yellah wrong too.
Anybody want to take on my slice of the debt?
I spent my share without realising it.
Shurely 'shoo-in'? - Ed. Unless we're referring to some obscure Germanic fetish.
Should that be peasantry ? Now that Labour has given them family credits galore ,The ConGlib will attack them and take it all back
