With no history of competitive rowing, Wolverhampton are an outside shot for Sunday's boat race after they won a playing field flattening wild card entry to the prestigious event.
Despite having no formal rowing team, organisers have managed to round up a few of the bigger lads, one of whose dad had a megaphone that he said they could borrow.
Weighing in at a full 34 stone heavier than either of the Oxbridge boats, the race itself is likely to prove tough going but team captain Darren Macey is not daunted telling reporters;
"Ar know we ay got the smarts loik them posh uns but we'm defo gonna gis it ar best shot."
Ladbrokes are offering 500/1 on Wolverhampton to win the race but 100/1 on their coach getting lost on the way down forcing them to miss the event altogether.
