Scientists at the Massachusetts institute of Optics and Light have decided that indigo is not a colour after all. “In reality” a spokesman said “ when you look at the rainbow, no-one can see anything else between violet and blue, not even homosexuals. We recommend that children should now learn ‘Richard of York gave battle vainly’.
People who have spent a lot of money painting their houses indigo are said to be very disappointed. “When you see ‘indigo’ on a paint can you take it for granted it is a real colour” said one “and it’s kind of a shock to discover you’ve been sold paint that doesn’t exist. I feel kinda foolish.”
The news follows other climb-downs by scientists who have also conceded recently that Pluto is not really a planet and that Doc is actually too tall to be a dwarf.
