Thanks Rikkor.
And if anyone would like details of the funeral arrangements, please PM me.
Good on you, chaps. Sleep well, Quaz.
Many thanks Rikkor.
Sorted.
A new low.
Allowing spam to dishonour the Quaz memorial page.
Not NB's finest moment.
Just goes to show the spammers are a bunch of bastards.
I hope they all suffer groin rot.
bump
Thanks godly.
Guys, I've just checked the total on the justgiving page, and what excellent work Biscuits!
Many thanks for your donations, Quaz's family are delighted by your generosity.
I intend to go to Quaz's funeral tomorrow and have the details from Jeni. I live in Prestbury and will be travelling M6, toll road and M1 if anyone would like a lift. Cheers. Ant
Drive safe, Ant, many Biscuiteers will be with you in spirit xx
A quick last minute reminder: Quaz's funeral is at 2pm today in Silverstone.
As AMOS says, we'll be there in spirit. RIPQ.
Nice one Ant. Safe journey. As Stunts says, you'll be there on behalf of many.
Just left the pub after a few quick chats with his sister, dad and friends Ade and Bolly. What a humbling experience the funeral was. He was obviously held in great esteem. More soon!
I am so glad you met them! They were the very people I hoped you'd meet. Were you struck by Bolly's likeness to Ade Edmondson?
Thank you so much for going, and representing NB Ant.
Well done Ant.
Hi finally home and I have access to a proper computer.
The service, whilst immensely sad and moving, can best be described as beautiful and humbling. Quaz clearly was loved dearly and the church was packed.
There were readings including one of his favourite published NB story about "The doctor" and his rather cheesed-off painter and decorator who quoted for the tardis from the outside.
As I said, immensely sad but his great humour was evident, especially from his departing song (Pete & Dud "Goodbye-ee").
It was clear that writing and NB were a big part of his life and Jeni was named as his writing partner.
He leaves two young children who will have the enormous benefit of a close and loving family to support them.
I have scanned the memorial leaflet which was given out at the service (see below).
It was a privelege to attend on behalf of the NB community.
Best wishes to all.
Ant
lovely - thanks for posting
He was always a nutter!
Thanks again Ant, I've spoken with Bolly and he said Quaz would have loved it, especially since he knew the Vicar hates Jerusalem!
Thanks
Yeah, thank you.
Not a lot of Orders of Service for funerals contain the words "DON'T PANIC!" in large, friendly letters. Nice touch.
Thanks very much Ant. Means a lot to a lot of people here.
Thanks for going, ant
Thanks, ant.
Nice.
Sad but heartening. Looks like a great cause.
very very sad
