The corridors of Westminster Palace echoed to the sound of back-slapping today as politicians from all parties congratulated each other on how clever they had been in the creation of the new press regulator in response to the Leveson report.
Its a win-win result for all of us beamed David Cameron. We were in a hole but with true British grit and courage we jolly well fought our way out of it using the old trick of lots of meaningless words so nobody can quite understand what it is we have done. Its a triumph for Britain and the British people and it can only be a matter of time now before the entire global economic crisis is sorted out in a similar fashion.
